Honda vehicles stand out from the crowd in many ways, including the 2025 American-Made Index from Cars.com. More Honda models made this list than any other manufacturer’s models, showcasing the fact that Honda plays an integral role in the American economy.

Made in America Honda Vehicles

Honda and Acura had eight models in the top 20 of the 2025 American-Made Index. Honda has consistently been in this list since it was first created in 2006 by Cars.com. Honda has been committed to building vehicles using domestic and global parts for 40 years. The models in the top 10 include:

Honda Passport – SUV
Honda Ridgeline – pickup
Honda Odyssey – minivan

The Honda Pilot, Accord, Acura MDX, RDX, and Integra were listed in the top 20. The Passport, Pilot, Odyssey, and Ridgeline are made in Alabama. The Ohio plant produces the Accord, Acura RDX, MDX, and Integra. Many of these models are designed by US engineers, including the Passport, Pilot, and Odyssey.

US Manufacturing

Almost two-thirds of the vehicles sold at US dealerships are made right here in America, which is second of any auto manufacturer. Both domestic and global parts are used in the manufacturing process. Honda has eight plants here in the US, which are located in Alabama, Ohio, Indiana, and Georgia. These plants manufacture vehicles and engines. Over the past 40 years, Honda has produced over 30 million vehicles right here in the US. These models include both cars and light trucks. Honda spent more than $30.6 billion on parts and supplies from US companies that were used in the construction of vehicles in 2024 alone.

Honda’s American History

Honda began its existence in America as the American Honda Moto Company in 1959. Today, the company has more than 30,000 employees in America who are involved in development, manufacturing, sales, and service of Honda and Acura vehicles along with Honda powersports products, power equipment, and the HondaJet advanced light jet. Honda has 23 R&D facilities here in America.
