On March 11, 2010, Erin was in a car accident and her 2006 Honda Civic was totaled. On March 24, we were hit again in our Toyota Tacoma, and Erin developed pneumonia As a result from the two accidents. When we arrived at Yuma Honda, in Yuma, AZ somewhere around March 29th, Erin was sick and Randy was injured and very tired-we had also just returned from a trip to Israel in between the two accidents. It was a trying time.
We purchased a new Honda Accord EX-L. We actually had no intention of purchasing a car that day as the old dealership used to be known as Country Club Honda under Laura Dana, and it was not pleasant. However, unbeknownst to us, the dealership had just changed to Yuma Honda, and was under new ownership. This very pleasant salesman named, Craig, came out to help us. He never lied to us about anything, he never got pushy, and he was very kind and helpful. We know our Hondas well, so he didn't try and put anything over on us. We appreciated that so much. That doesn't happen often! All we had wanted to do was look at the Hondas then go to Phoenix when we were feeling better, but we bought one on the spot.
Craig's boss or financial manager-we really don't know his title, was a man named, Richard. He was every bit as kind as Craig. We felt they made us a fair deal-we were too tired to wheel and deal, (probably not the best time to purchase!), and we walked away satisfied. They located us a car in the Phoenix area and we had it in a few days. The car was great for 24 hours, and then it died. Some valve in the engine or something went bad. They gave us a beautiful 2010 Accord to drive while they investigated the problem. They offered to replace the engine for us. That was very nice, but we didn't want a refurbished car. We really wanted a new car, and they totally understood. They agreed with NO hassle, to get us a new car. You cannot believe how relieved and surprised we were to find a car dealership that didn't hassle us over such a thing! They were kind and understanding! They had already contacted Honda Corporate and a new car was in the works! We were just stunned!
We have our second new Accord EX-L now and everything is great. This would have been our 4th Honda, but technically now, it's our 5th! And, we'll buy another, and another! Most importantly, we'd buy again from Yuma Honda. This dealership is fantastic, and we wanted you at the corporate level to know. It's a tiny little dealership here in Yuma, AZ, but these people are truly doing this area a big service. News will travel quickly.
